Successful Capping of Preheater for 1.2 MTY Clinker Cement Production Line of Tibetan Sinoma Qilianshan Cement Company

On the 28th of April, with a loud firecracker, the last piece of steel plate was slowly 
placed in position at the top platform of preheater for the1.2 MTY clinker cement produciton line of Tibetan Sinoma Qilianshan Cement Company undertaken by CDI on turnkey basis (hereinafter referred to as Tibetan Qilianshan Project), which symbolized the successful capping of the preheater tower and commencing of the peak period of erection works.
Located in Gongga County of Tibet Autonomous Region at 3660m above sea level, Tibetan Qilianshan Project is a standard project at plateau. Confronting various challenges and hardships, the project team has conquered altitude sickness and extreme weathers like windy sand, snow storm and so on, and made proper and elaborate arrangements to successfully complete each and every milestone. The outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic prior to the Spring Festival in 2020 has resulted in suspension of the construction works for two months and severely delayed the schedule. Attaching great importance to the situation, CDI��s top management strictly followed the deployment requirements of the Group and the parent company, carefully deployed and scientifically organized the resources, strived hard to fight against the epidemic, ensured safety and promoted production. In the meantime, the project team resolutely implemented the company's relevant program of epidemic prevention and control and arrangement of production and operation. With common wills and concerted efforts, the project team adjusted the work plan at the first time, effectively allocated resources, paid close attention to putting into practice of prevention and control measures, and worked overtime to speed up the construction. CDI, by mutual supporting and coordinating with the owne, made every effort to ensure quality, schedule and safety of the project and achieved both full control of the epidemic and timely resumption of the construction, which laid a solid foundation for the successful capping of the preheater. With efforts from all sides, capping of the preheater was realized 20 days earlier than scheduled, which was a vivid illustration of CDI��s outstanding project management capability.
As a milestone progress, successful capping of the preheater has tremendously inspired all the staff working on the project.
